Cambridge Online Functional Skills
Here at Cambridge Online School & College International we are excited to share that we now offer Functional Skills qualifications for Maths and English. These online Functional Skills qualifications can be taken as either a 1-year course, or as a 3-month intensive course depending on preference.

What are Functional Skills Qualifications?
Functional Skills assess the fundamental skills of Maths & English, and they help to prepare students with the skills they will need in their working and professional lives.
All Functional Skills assessments are either graded as a pass or a fail and there are no portfolio or coursework based components.
Why are they important?
Functional Skills are important for a multitude of reasons. One main reason is that Functional Skills provide students with essential life skills that are sought after by employers.
These qualifications also help learners become more confident with using Maths and English skills in everyday life without assistance.
What is the difference between Level 1 & Level 2 Functional Skills?
A Level 2 Functional Skills qualification is equivalent to a GCSE qualification. However if students feel they are not ready to enter at this level and require extra support beforehand, they have the option to start at a Level 1 Functional Skills qualification. The Level 1 course will help prepare them to progress onto their Level 2 course so that they can feel more confident.
All Functional Skills Exams can also be sat from the comfort of your own home.
